2 tbsp of oil
1 large onions diced
1 large tomatoes diced
1/2 tbsp of berbere spice
salt to your taste
1 1/2 tsp of minced garlic
1/2 tbsp of Ethiopian spiced butter (optional)
water as needed (100-150ml)

Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add the diced onions and sauté until translucent.

Stir in the diced tomatoes and cook until softened.

Add the berbere spice, minced garlic, and salt, and mix well.

If using, add the Ethiopian spiced butter and stir until melted.
