Add 1.5 cups of brown sugar, a bay leaf, half a nutmeg, a stick of cinnamon, 12 cardamom pods, 10 cloves, and 3 tablespoons of chopped ginger to a pot.

Melt 3 cups of ghee in a large pot.

Add 6 cups of all-purpose flour to the melted ghee and parch until brown.

Stir in 1 cup of cream of wheat and continue to parch for several minutes.

Add about 1 teaspoon of powdered cardamom and half a teaspoon of powdered ginger to the mixture.

Strain the infused liquid from the earlier step into the pot and mix well, adding 4 cups of whole milk gradually until combined.
