4 cups all purpose (plain) flour
½ cup yogurt
2 tablespoons melted butter
2 teaspoons dried yeast
¾ cup lukewarm milk
¾ teaspoon salt
50 g melted butter (to brush cooked naan)
1

Place flour, yogurt, butter, yeast, milk and salt in a large bowl.

2

Using a spoon, combine the ingredients, then use clean hands to bring everything together and form a sticky dough.

3

Cover and place in a warm spot for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

4

Dust a clean work surface with flour, and tip out the dough.

5

Knead for two minutes.

6

Divide the dough into 4 equal portions.

7

Place one portion on a flat work surface, and roll out into a thin disc, roughly 3mm thick.

8

Using a round cookie cutter, cut out circles. Shape the circles into oval shaped naans.

9

Remove the extra dough, and roll it again into 3mm thick discs. Cut out more circles from the dough.

Place naans in the pan, in batches, and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until cooked through.
