No-Bake Chocolate Peanut Butter Granola Bars

Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C).

Prepare a 9-inch square pan by spraying it with non-stick spray and lining the bottom with parchment paper.

In a small saucepan, melt 4 tablespoons (55 g) of butter over medium-low heat.

Add 1/3 cup (80 mL) of golden syrup and 1/3 cup (80 mL) of honey to the melted butter and stir until combined.

Remove the saucepan from heat and let the mixture cool to room temperature for about 5-10 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine 2 cups (180 g) of rolled oats, 1/2 cup (15 g) of rice cereal, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.

Add 1/4 cup (40 g) of chocolate chips and 1/4 cup (35 g) of dried cherries to the dry ingredients.

Pour the cooled butter mixture into the dry ingredients and stir until everything is well combined and moistened.

Spread the mixture evenly in the prepared pan, pressing down firmly to compact it.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
