Tunisian Tuna Sandwich

Cultural Context

Originating from Tunisia, the Tunisian Tuna Sandwich is a vibrant and flavorful dish that reflects the country's love for seafood and spices. Traditionally enjoyed as a quick meal or snack, it showcases the use of harissa, a spicy chili paste that adds depth to the tuna. Today, this sandwich has gained popularity beyond Tunisia, often found in Mediterranean cafes and enjoyed by those seeking a taste of North African cuisine.
