1

Cut out four fillets from 2 pounds of Atlantic salmon, preferably center cut.

2

Optionally, remove the skin from each salmon fillet by making an incision on one edge and using a sawing motion with a knife to pull the skin away.

3

Cut broccoli into bite-sized florets, using about 4 cups or two large crowns.

4

Peel the outer layer of about an inch of ginger, then grate it to yield one teaspoon of minced ginger.

5

Finely chop green onion stalks and set aside.

6

In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, minced ginger, and chopped green onions until well combined.

7

Coat each salmon fillet lightly with salt and black pepper on both sides.

8

Place the salmon fillets in a large Ziploc bag and pour half of the sauce over them, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Refrigerate for 20 minutes to 4 hours.

9

Preheat the oven to medium heat, about 350°F (176°C).

10

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, parchment paper, or a silicone baking mat.

11

Fill a large pot with one inch of water, place a steamer inside, and bring the water to a boil. Add the broccoli, sprinkle with salt, cover, and reduce heat to medium. Steam the broccoli for about 7 minutes until bright green and tender.

12

Remove the marinated salmon from the Ziploc bag and place the fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 17 minutes.

13

While the salmon is baking, pour the remaining marinade into a small pan and bring it to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 4 minutes, stirring intermittently, until it thickens.

14

Once the salmon is done, remove it from the oven and discard any browned glaze on the fillets.

15

Plate a salmon fillet with steamed broccoli and drizzle with additional glaze. Optionally garnish with chopped parsley or sesame seeds.
