Often prepared with canned corned beef, it showcases the ability to create hearty meals from simple ingredients, making it a staple in many households. Today, this dish has gained popularity beyond the Caribbean, with variations appearing in various global cuisines, adapting to local tastes and ingredients.

Add 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1/4 teaspoon of garlic powder, and 1/4 teaspoon of all-purpose seasoning as seasonings.
Chop one onion, one tomato, and prepare a small amount of scotch bonnet pepper and scallion.
Wash 2.5 cups of basmati rice and set aside.
In a pot, add 2 cups of water and bring it to a boil.
Once boiling, add 2 teaspoons of salt and 1 tablespoon of butter, then add the washed rice.
Ensure the water level is just above the rice to avoid mushiness and cover the pot to cook for 25-30 minutes on low to medium heat.
After cooking, fluff the rice with a fork and add some scallion for flavor, if desired.
In a separate pot, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and then add chopped onion, scallion, and scotch bonnet pepper, sautéing for 20-30 seconds.
Add the seasonings to the sautéed vegetables, followed by the corned beef, pressing it down into the pot.
Add tomato ketchup and rinse the ketchup container with 1 teaspoon of water, adding that to the pot as well.
Stir the mixture and add 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper, cooking for about 3 minutes on low heat.
Cover the pot to finish cooking the corned beef mixture.
Fry plantains in vegetable oil until golden brown and place them on a paper towel to drain.
In another pot, add 1 teaspoon of butter and sweet corn, seasoning with 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper and a pinch of salt, then stir.
Finish cooking and present the dish, mentioning it looks delicious and encouraging viewers to share the video.
