Matnakash

Cultural Context

Matnakash is a traditional Armenian bread, often enjoyed during special occasions and family gatherings. Its name translates to 'finger bread' due to the dimples made by fingers before baking. This bread is cherished for its soft texture and slightly crispy crust, making it a staple in Armenian households. Pour warm water into the flour mixture and knead the dough first with a spoon.
