1

Start with 2.5 cups of self-rising flour. If you don't have self-rising flour, mix 2 cups of all-purpose flour with 1 teaspoon of baking powder.

2

Add a pinch of salt to the flour (salt is optional).

3

Add 1 cup of whole milk yogurt to the flour mixture, mixing with hands or a spatula to create a dough.

4

If the dough is too dry, add a couple of tablespoons of water as needed.

5

Let the dough rest for 5 to 10 minutes.

6

Sprinkle flour on a clean kitchen counter and take a portion of the dough to shape into naan.

7

Roll out the dough to about 1/8 to 1/4 inch thickness, making rustic shapes as desired.

8

Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and add some oil.

9

Drop the naan into the pan and cook until small bubbles form, then turn it over.

10

Cook for a couple of minutes on each side until golden brown.

11

Remove the naan from the pan and repeat with the remaining dough to make a total of six naan.

12

For the garlic butter, melt 3 tablespoons of butter and mix in the chopped cilantro and garlic with a pinch of salt.

13

Brush the garlic butter mixture on top of the cooked naan.
