Marinate pork shoulder with garlic, onion, cumin, oregano, lime juice, salt, and black pepper for at least 2 hours.

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add marinated pork shoulder to the skillet and cook until browned on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.

Reduce heat to medium and cover, cooking until pork is tender, about 30-40 minutes.

Remove pork from skillet and let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.

While pork rests, prepare the corn tortillas by heating them in a separate pan until warm and pliable.

Slice the pork into bite-sized pieces.

Assemble the fritanga by placing pork on a tortilla, topped with shredded cabbage, salsa, and avocado.

Serve immediately with lime wedges on the side.
