1

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

2

Cut the butter into slices and add to the dry ingredients.

3

Using a pastry blender, cut in the butter until the mixture resembles crumbs.

4

Add the 2 eggs and 1 egg yolk, along with the vanilla extract, and mix until it all starts to come together.

5

On a lightly floured surface, knead the dough a couple of times and form it into a disc-like shape.

6

Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.

7

Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and butter the baking dish.

8

Take about 3/4 of the dough and press it into the bottom of the baking dish and a little up the sides.

9

Microwave the quince jam for 1 minute intervals, stirring after each minute until it reaches a thick jam consistency.

10

Spread the jam on top of the dough.

11

On a lightly floured surface, roll out the remaining dough and cut thin strips.

12

Place the strips of dough across the tart, creating a lattice pattern.

13

Brush the egg wash over all of the dough.

14

Bake for about 30-40 minutes until the dough is a light golden brown color.

15

Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
