Cut the peaches in half and remove the pits.

In a bowl, mix breadcrumbs, chopped almonds, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Add melted butter, vanilla extract, lemon juice, and egg to the mixture; stir until combined.

Fill each peach half with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to pack it in.

Place the stuffed peaches in a baking dish and pour milk over them.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes.

Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.

Let cool slightly before dusting with powdered sugar.

Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.
