1 tbsp garlic paste

1 1/2 to 2 cups Egyptian rice/ Calrose rice
green bell pepper
salt to taste
chopped coriander and parsley leaves
4 tbsp lemon juice or 1 large lemon
2 tbsp pomegranate molasses
a jar of boiled and ready to use grape leaves
sliced potatoes
olive oil
2 1/2 cup of water

Prepare the stuffing by mixing the onion, garlic paste, tomatoes, mixspice, black pepper, cumin, ground black lemon, turmeric, paprika, tomato paste, rice, green bell pepper, coriander, parsley, and salt to taste.

Take the boiled grape leaves and place a spoonful of the stuffing at the base of each leaf.

Fold the sides over the filling and roll tightly from the base to the tip.

Layer the stuffed grape leaves in a pot, seam side down, and add sliced potatoes on top.

In a separate bowl, mix olive oil, water, lemon juice, mixspice, black pepper, and salt to create a cooking liquid.

Pour the cooking liquid over the grape leaves and potatoes in the pot.

Cover and bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the rice is cooked through.
