They are often associated with indulgence and comfort, frequently enjoyed during special occasions and holidays. Today, variations abound, with many bakeries and home cooks creating their own takes on this classic recipe, incorporating flavors like caramel or nuts.

Add 1 cup of warm milk to a bowl.
Add 2 and 1/4 teaspoon of yeast to the warm milk and let it dissolve.
Transfer the yeast mixture to a Bosch bread mixer.
Mix in 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup melted butter, 1 teaspoon salt, and 2 eggs.
Start adding 4 cups of flour one cup at a time.
Once mixed, spray hands with cooking spray to handle the dough.
Let the dough rise in a warm place (like the microwave) for about an hour until doubled in size.
Lightly flour the working space and roll out the dough to a 21x6 rectangle, about 1/4 inch thick.
Cut the dough in half to make 24 rolls instead of 12.
In a bowl, combine 1 cup of packed brown sugar and 2 and 1/2 tablespoon of cinnamon for the filling.
Spread 1/3 cup of butter over the rolled-out dough.
Sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly over the butter.
Roll the dough tightly from one end to the other.
Cut the rolled dough using string or a knife into individual rolls.
Let the rolls rise until doubled in size, which may take longer than an hour depending on the temperature.
Preheat the oven and bake the rolls for 10 to 15 minutes or until light brown.
While the rolls are baking, prepare the icing by mixing 1/2 cup softened butter, 1/4 cup cream cheese, 1 and 1/2 cups powdered sugar, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/8 teaspoon salt until fluffy.
Remove the rolls from the oven after 13 minutes and let them cool slightly before frosting.
