Heat a cast iron pan over medium heat.

Add 2 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the pan.

Melt the butter completely.

Add 1 medium minced onion and cook for about 1-2 minutes until translucent.

Add the mushrooms and cook for about 4 minutes, stirring every minute to allow the bottoms to brown.

Add 2 tablespoons of white wine and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Stir everything together and cook for about 2 minutes to reduce and thicken the sauce.

Add 4 cloves of minced garlic, 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped parsley, and 1 tablespoon of freshly chopped thyme.

Mix everything together and cook for about 30 seconds until the garlic is fragrant.
