1 cup water
1 tablespoon lemon zest
1 cinnamon stick
2 cups milk
1 cup wheat flour
2 tablespoons cornstarch
4 beaten egg yolks
1 package puff pastry

In a pot, combine the sugar, water, lemon peel, and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.

In another pot, combine the milk, wheat flour, and cornstarch, and cook over heat until the mixture thickens.

Remove from heat and add the beaten eggs, stirring well until the mixture is smooth.

Allow the custard to cool in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
