I use cassava, grated coconut or packed coconut, and pumpkin milk or water.

Add Trinidad cinnamon, vanilla essence, black pepper, and butter or oil.

Mix the ingredients by hand, as everyone in the family is comfortable with that.

Start by adding the cassava to the mixing bowl.

Add the sugar to the cassava.

Add some butter (or oil) to the mixture.

Add the grated coconut (fresh or packed) to the bowl.

Add the pumpkin to the mixture.

Add some black pepper and Trinidad cinnamon powder.

Add the vanilla essence.

Continue mixing with hands until the sugar grains are melted and the mixture is well combined.

Place the mixture in the oven at 375 degrees for two hours.

After baking, remove the pone from the oven and check the texture and color.
