Traditionally served at celebrations, this trifle version allows for easy serving and sharing, making it a popular choice for parties and gatherings.

Melt bittersweet chocolate in the microwave or over a bain-marie and set aside to cool.
In a large bowl, add mascarpone cheese, sugar, and vanilla extract.
Use an electric hand mixer to whip the mascarpone mixture until smooth and lump-free.
Add heavy whipping cream (over 35% fat) to the mascarpone mixture and whip until thick.
Fold the melted chocolate into half of the mascarpone mixture until combined.
Prepare an 8x12 inch dish (or 8x8 inch) for assembling the tiramisu.
Quickly dunk ladyfingers in coffee and layer them in the dish without letting them get soggy.
Spread a layer of the chocolate mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
Add another layer of soaked ladyfingers on top of the chocolate mascarpone layer.
Spread a thick layer of the remaining mascarpone mixture on top.
Dust the top with powdered sugar using a stencil for decoration, followed by cocoa powder.
Refrigerate the assembled tiramisu for 6 to 8 hours to let flavors meld before serving.
