Shrimp Scampi

ItalianITmain
30 min
medium
4 servings
Servings4
1 pound linguine pasta
4 tablespoons salted butter
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
½ cup white wine
¼ cup lemon juice
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1

Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook linguine according to the package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2

While the pasta cooks, heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add salted butter and olive oil. Once the butter has melted, add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, or until fragrant.

3

Add raw shrimp to the skillet, season with salt and crushed red pepper flakes. Stir continuously and cook until the shrimp just turns pink, about 2 minutes.

4

Pour in white wine to deglaze the skillet, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Stir in lemon juice and Italian seasoning. Allow the mixture to simmer for 3 to 5 minutes, letting the flavors combine.

5

Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Remove from heat. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and garnish with chopped fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
