Shrimp Scampi - Classic Restaurant Style

Cut and squeeze out the fresh lemon juice.

Chop the fresh parsley, using both curly leaf and flat leaf parsley.

Chop four cloves of garlic.

Season the shrimp lightly with paprika, salt, and seasoning.

Stir the shrimp until all the seasonings are well blended before cooking.

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt tablespoons of butter with olive oil.

Add shrimp to the skillet in a single layer and cook for about 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque.

Add chopped onions to the skillet to enhance the flavor.

Pour in white wine or broth and lemon juice, scraping up any brown bits from the bottom.

Let the mixture simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

Add black pepper to the sauce.

Transfer the shrimp to a second pan and toss to coat in the sauce.

Cook for another minute to let the flavors meld.

Add broth cooked from the first pan to the sauce.

Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately over pasta or with toasted garlic bread.
