1 lb ground beef
1/8 teaspoon five-spice powder
1 teaspoon cornstarch
1/2 cup water

Add 1 tbsp of salt in a bowl and pour in 2 cups of warm water to dissolve the salt.

Cut the tofu into cubes and add it to the salt water. Let it soak for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Prepare the sauce by adding light soy sauce, dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, soybean sauce, sugar, and five-spice powder in a bowl and mix it all up.

Cut the garlic small and slice the ginger and chili peppers. Slice the green onions, separating the white part from the green part.

Take the tofu cubes out of the salt water and put them in a separate bowl.

Add some oil to a hot wok.

Add the ground beef to the wok and fry it for about 2 to 3 minutes.

Add the minced garlic, ginger, chili peppers, and the white part of the green onion. Stir-fry them together for about 2 to 3 minutes.

Add the soybean sauce and mix well.

Add the tofu cubes and stir-fry them together for about 30 seconds.

Add 1/2 cup of water, cover it, and let it cook for about 5 minutes.

Add the prepared sauce and stir. Cover it again and let it continue to cook for about 3 minutes.

Add the green onions, give it a stir, and let it cook for another 1 minute.

Transfer to a serving plate and enjoy.
