Pork Bolognese

1 onion, finely chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 carrot, finely chopped
1 celery stalk, finely chopped
500g ground pork
1 can (400g) crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 cup red wine
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp dried basil
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 cup whole milk
400g spaghetti
Grated Parmesan cheese for serving

Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion, garlic, carrot, and celery. Sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes.

Increase the heat to medium-high and add the ground pork. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon, about 8-10 minutes.

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, and red wine. Bring to a simmer.

Add the dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper. Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Pour in the milk and stir to combine. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Meanwhile, cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

Toss the cooked spaghetti with the Bolognese sauce until well coated.
