Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Cream together butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until a dough forms.
Fold in ground almonds until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Chill the dough in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to firm up.
Roll the dough into small balls, about the size of a walnut.
Place the dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are lightly golden.
Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
Dust the warm cookies with powdered sugar before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
