How to Make Chocolate Pudding ~ Homemade Creamy Chocolate Pudding Recipe ~ Amy Learns to Cook
Recipe Information
Chocolate Pudding
Prepare a double boiler with a pan of water and a second container over the top.
Measure out 2 cups of whole milk and pour it into the double boiler.
Add an additional 1/4 cup of whole milk to the double boiler.
Add 1.5 ounces of bittersweet chocolate to the double boiler.
Turn on the burner to bring the water to a gentle boil, stirring occasionally to prevent scorching.
Once the chocolate is melted, combine the remaining 3/4 cup of milk, 1/2 cup of sugar, 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, 2 teaspoons of vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt in a bowl, mixing until the cornstarch dissolves.
Pour the milk mixture into the melted chocolate in the double boiler, stirring continuously.
Bring the mixture to a boil while stirring, and cook for 1 minute once boiling to thicken.
Remove from heat and pour the pudding into a glass bowl to cool.
Cover the pudding with plastic wrap, pressing it to the surface to prevent a skin from forming.
Refrigerate the pudding until completely chilled.
Once chilled, spoon the pudding into serving dishes.
Prepare whipped cream in a NutriMeal Artiste and pipe it onto the pudding.
Grate a little chocolate on top for garnish.
