Adobo Marinated Chicken Wings

Cultural Context

Adobo is a quintessential Filipino dish, often considered the unofficial national dish of the Philippines. It reflects the country's rich history of Spanish influence, combining vinegar, soy sauce, and spices to create a savory, tangy flavor profile. Traditionally made with pork or chicken, adobo has many regional variations, and today, it has gained international popularity, with many adapting the recipe to suit local tastes.
