Rao's Famous Meatballs

2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 large egg
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/4 cup milk
2 cups marinara sauce

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic, egg, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.

Add the milk to the mixture and combine until just mixed; do not overwork the meat.

Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.

Place the meatballs on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through.

While the meatballs are baking, heat the marinara sauce in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Once the meatballs are done, add them to the marinara sauce and simmer for an additional 10 minutes.

Serve the meatballs hot, garnished with additional parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired.
