Homemade Cream of Celery Soup Recipe (freezer friendly!)

Greek yogurt reduces calories while maintaining creaminess

Start with a saucepan on medium heat and add 1/4 cup of butter.

While the butter is melting, finely chop 1 cup of celery in a food processor.

Add the chopped celery, 1/2 of a yellow onion (chopped), 1 clove of garlic (minced), 1/2 teaspoon of kosher salt, and 1/4 teaspoon of cracked pepper to the saucepan.

Simmer the mixture on medium for 5 to 7 minutes until the celery and onion are nice and soft.

Add 1/4 cup of flour to the saucepan and stir until it's evenly distributed.

Let the flour cook in for a few minutes on the stovetop.

Next, add 1/2 cup of chicken broth and 1/2 cup of half and half to the mixture.

Stir on low heat until the soup thickens.
