The dish has evolved over the years and is now popular in many countries, often featuring variations in ingredients and preparation methods. Traditionally, it consists of sautéed beef in a creamy sauce, served over noodles or rice, making it a comforting meal.

Turn on the Instant Pot to sauté mode and adjust to high.
Season the stew meat with 1 tablespoon of garlic powder and 1 tablespoon of onion powder.
Add flour to the seasoned beef and toss to coat.
Sprinkle salt and pepper to taste on the beef.
Add vegetable oil to the Instant Pot once it's hot.
Sauté the beef in the Instant Pot for 2-3 minutes until browned, flipping to brown both sides.
Remove the browned beef and set aside.
Add butter, minced garlic, diced onion, and mushrooms to the Instant Pot.
Sauté the vegetables for 3-4 minutes until softened, scraping the bottom to deglaze.
Add 1 teaspoon of dried basil and 3 cups of beef broth to the pot.
Stir in Worcestershire sauce and red wine vinegar.
Return the browned beef to the Instant Pot.
Close the lid and set to cook under pressure for 10 minutes.
Once done, release the pressure and stir in sour cream to create a creamy sauce.
