1 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup lime juice
2 bay leaves
2 cups water
1 cup coconut milk
1 tablespoon sugar
2 green chilies
1/2 cup fried shallots

Clean and cut the chicken into pieces.

Blend garlic, shallots, lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, coriander, cumin, salt, and black pepper into a paste.
