Add 1 cup of nsima flour to a pot.

Pour in water to the pot, enough to mix with the flour.

Stir the mixture until it is well combined.

Place the pot on the fire to heat the mixture.

Cook the nsima until it becomes a hard porridge, stirring occasionally.

Prepare vegetables by cutting tomatoes and onions.
