Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line a 9x13 inch baking dish with biscuits, smushing them down for a flat layer.

Add 2.5 lbs of cooked ground beef on top of the biscuits.

Add 1 whole diced yellow onion on top of the beef and spread evenly.

Season with hamburger seasoning to taste.

Drizzle Thousand Island dressing over the mixture.

Sprinkle sharp cheddar cheese on top.

Place 8 biscuits on top without smushing them down.

Brush melted butter on each biscuit.

Bake in the oven for about 30 minutes.
