  • puff pastry
  • pistachios
  • green olives
  • cream cheese
  • garlic
  • lemon zest
  • black pepper

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. 2Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. 3Chop the pistachios and green olives finely.
  4. 4In a bowl, mix cream cheese, chopped pistachios, olives, minced garlic, lemon zest, black pepper, and salt until well combined.
  5. 5Spread the mixture evenly over the puff pastry, leaving a small border around the edges.
  6. 6Roll the pastry tightly into a log, sealing the edges with a little water.
  7. 7Slice the log into 1-inch pieces and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  8. 8Beat the egg and brush it over the tops of the rolls.
  9. 9Sprinkle sesame seeds and chopped parsley on top of each roll.
  10. 10Drizzle olive oil over the rolls.

Instructions

  2. 2Arrange the baguette slices on a baking sheet and brush both sides with olive oil.
  3. 3Toast the baguette slices in the oven for about 5-7 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
  4. 4In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese with chopped basil, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. 5Spread a generous layer of the cream cheese mixture on each toasted baguette slice.
  6. 6Top each slice with a piece of mortadella, folding it if necessary to fit.
