Pour 1/2 gallon of regular milk into a glass container.

Microwave the milk for 17 minutes to raise it to 185°F.

Check the temperature; it should be at 184-185°F.

Let the milk cool down to 105-106°F.

Once cooled, whisk in 1/2 cup of Danon whole milk plain yogurt until well mixed.

Place the mixture in the oven overnight using the proof setting at 80-85°F, or leave the oven lights on.
