Olive oil adds flavor with less saturated fat.

Add 2 cups of washed and drained sona masoori rice to the inner pot of the Instant Pot.

Pour 4 cups of water into the inner pot with the rice.

Close the Instant Pot lid and ensure it is sealed.

Pressure cook on high for 4 minutes.

Wait for the float valve to come down on its own to indicate the rice is ready.

For the pot in pot method, pour 1 cup of water into the main inner part of the Instant Pot.

Place a steel bowl on the trivet inside the main pot.

In the steel bowl, add 1 cup of washed and drained rice and 2 cups of water.

Close the Instant Pot lid and ensure it is sealed.

Pressure cook on high for 6 minutes.

Wait for the float valve to come down on its own to indicate the rice is ready.
