For saffron rice, add a pinch of saffron and cover with the lid.

For salted lemon rice, add 1 or 2 salted lemons to the pot and cover with the lid.

For spiced turmeric rice, add 10 cloves, a stick of cinnamon, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric to the pot and cover with the lid.
