Ingredients

  • 4 medium russet potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyère cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives
  • 1/4 cup French onion dip

Instructions

  1. 1Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2Wash and scrub the potatoes thoroughly, then pat them dry.
  3. 3Slice each potato thinly, making sure not to cut all the way through (leave about 1/4 inch at the bottom).
  4. 4In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  5. 5Brush the olive oil mixture generously over the potatoes, ensuring it seeps into the cuts.
  6. 6Place the potatoes in the air fryer basket, standing them upright if possible.
  7. 7Air fry the potatoes for 25-30 minutes, or until they are crispy and golden brown.
  8. 8In the last 5 minutes of cooking, sprinkle the shredded Gruyère cheese over the top of the potatoes to melt.
  9. 9Once done, remove the potatoes from the air fryer and garnish with chopped chives and a dollop of French onion dip.
