Start by making a meringue using 5 egg whites, ensuring no yolk or water is present.
Mix the egg whites by hand until they form a meringue.
In a saucepan, combine water and sugar, bringing it to a boil for a couple of minutes.
Slowly pour the sugar syrup into the meringue while mixing by hand.
Place the mixture in the fridge to set a little.
After setting, use a hand mixer to achieve the desired texture.
Pour the meringue into a piping bag and pipe it onto the waffles, creating a ring for filling.
Fill the center with jam or fresh berries, then close it up with more meringue.
Let the assembled Flødeboller rest for about an hour to set the foam.
Melt about 70% of the chocolate in a bowl over simmering water, then add the rest to cool it down.
Pour the melted chocolate over the Flødeboller, ensuring an even coating.
Decorate with toppings such as berries, crushed almonds, or liquorice.
