1

Start by boiling 1 liter of water in a pot.

2

Peel the raw papaya using a peeler, ensuring to reach the inner ridges.

3

Cut the papaya in half, then into quarters, and peel the inner layer.

4

Chop the papaya into small cubes by cutting long strips and then cutting them into smaller pieces.

5

Once the water is boiling, add the chopped papaya to the pot.

6

Boil the papaya for about 10 minutes until it becomes translucent.

7

Drain the excess water from the boiled papaya and set it aside.

8

In another pot, combine 500 ml of water and 1 and 1/4 cups of sugar to make a sugar syrup.

9

Bring the sugar syrup to a boil for 1 minute.

10

Add the drained papaya into the boiling sugar syrup and stir.

11

Cook the papaya in the sugar syrup for another 10 minutes until it becomes completely transparent.

12

After boiling, switch off the flame and add 4 to 5 drops of pineapple essence to the mixture.

13

Divide the papaya mixture into three different bowls for coloring.

14

Add about two drops of food coloring to each bowl (orange, yellow, and leave one plain).

15

Let the papaya soak in the sugar syrup and color overnight for best results.
