Nutritional yeast is lower in calories and adds a cheesy flavor.
Boil water in a pan and add salt once it's boiling.
Cook bowtie pasta until al dente, then drain and reserve about a cup of pasta water.
In a separate pan, heat olive oil and add ground beef, breaking it apart and browning it.
Season the beef with salt, black pepper, and about a teaspoon of Italian seasoning.
Once the beef is browned, remove it from the pan and keep the pan clean.
Add butter to the pan, then add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds without browning.
Pour in heavy cream and warm it through without boiling, stirring occasionally.
Add grated parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese to the cream, stirring until melted.
If the sauce thickens too much, add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
Stir in red pepper flakes and freshly ground nutmeg.
Return the browned beef to the sauce and add the cooked bowtie pasta, mixing to coat.
Serve hot, garnished with extra parmesan and chopped parsley.
