Boil 5 cups of water in a pot.
Add 1 tablespoon of salt to the boiling water.
Add 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning to the water.
Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and the juice of 1 lemon to the pot.
Add potatoes to the pot and let them cook.
Add sweet corn to the pot.
Add Hungarian sausage to the pot and let it simmer.
Prepare shrimp by deveining them with a toothpick, leaving the shells on for flavor.
Sauté garlic in a separate pan until fragrant, being careful not to over-toast it.
Add minced onions to the sautéed garlic and sweat them to bring out sweetness.
Add 1 tablespoon of Old Bay seasoning to the sautéed mixture.
Add hot sauce to the sautéed mixture and stir.
Add half a bar of butter to the sautéed mixture and let it melt.
Add some brown sugar to the melted butter.
Prepare blue crabs by halving them and ensuring they are fresh.
Add Manila clams to the pot with the other seafood ingredients.
Soak Manila clams in salted water to clean them before cooking.
Add shrimp to the pot and cook until they change color.
Add clams to the pot and wait for them to open up, indicating they are cooked.
Remove corn from the pot and add it to the sauce mixture.
Create a bed of seafood on a serving platter and pour the sauce over it.
Garnish with fresh parsley.
