1/2 cup Toor dal (Pigeon pea red Lentils)
2 cup water
1/4 Tsp Haldi powder (Turmeric powder)
1 Tsp oil
1 small Emli ka ball (Tamarind)
1/2 cup Hot water
4 to 5 cup Water
2 Tsp salt
1 Tsp oil
1 Cup Vada Kolum Rice
2 to 3 Tbl sp oil
1 Tsp Rai (Mustard seed)
1 Tsp Urad dal (Black gram)
1 Tsp Jeera (Cumin seed)
1 Strip curry patta (Curry leaves)
2 Sukhi Lal Mirch (Dry Red chilli)
6 to 7 Lasun ki kali smash (Garlic clove)
9 to 10 small Lasun ki kali (Garlic clove)
1 Medium Size Onion finely chopped
2 Hari Mirch cut lengthwise (Green chilli)
1/4 Tsp Hing (Asafoetida)
1/4 Tsp Methi dana (Fenugreek seeds)
1 Tsp oil
3 Big size Tomatoes chopped
1/4 Tsp Haldi powder (Turmeric powder)
2 Tsp Kashmiri Red chilly powder

1 Cup water
1 Tsp salt
1 Tbl sp Butter (Optional)
2 to 3 Tbl sp Hara Dhania finely chopped (Green coriander leaves finely chopped)

Rinse the Toor dal and soak it in water for some time.

In a pot, add the soaked Toor dal, 2 cups of water, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, and 1 small ball of tamarind. Cook until the dal is soft.

In a separate pan, heat 2 to 3 tablespoons of oil and add mustard seeds, urad dal, cumin seeds, curry leaves, dry red chillies, and smashed garlic cloves. Sauté until fragrant.

Add finely chopped onion and green chillies to the pan and cook until the onion is translucent.

Stir in the chopped tomatoes, remaining turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilly powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.

Combine the cooked dal with the tomato mixture, adding additional water if needed to reach desired consistency. Adjust salt to taste.

Serve the Tomato dal hot with steam rice and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
