Pour the caramel into the prepared baking dish and let it cool completely.
Melt dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until smooth.
Spread the melted dark chocolate over the cooled caramel layer evenly.
Sprinkle sea salt on top of the chocolate layer before it sets.
Allow the chocolate to cool and harden at room temperature or refrigerate briefly.
Once set, cut into squares and serve.
