Introduce the recipe and ingredients for Jamaican Brown Stew Chicken Feet.

2

Prepare chicken feet by removing the toes and cleaning them with lemon juice or vinegar.

3

Combine the chicken feet with 2-3 cloves of garlic, 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, 1 stalk of scallion, 1 teaspoon of pimento seed, 1-2 teaspoons of ginger, 1 onion, 1 tablespoon of jerk powder seasoning, 2 teaspoons of chicken seasoning, 1 teaspoon of black pepper, 1 teaspoon of all-purpose seasoning, 1 teaspoon of paprika, 1 small chopped tomato, a little bit of chopped Irish potato, 1 bell pepper, and 1 carrot in a bowl.

4

Add 2 teaspoons of browning sauce and 1 tablespoon of ketchup to the mixture.

5

Massage the seasoning into the chicken feet and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes to 1 hour or overnight if possible.

6

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat and add the marinated chicken feet, searing them for about 2 minutes until they are nicely browned.

7

Pour 4 cups of hot water into the pot with the chicken feet and scrape the bottom to mix in all the flavors.

8

Cover the pot and let it cook for 25 minutes, checking for tenderness.

9

After 25 minutes, check the chicken feet for softness; if they are tender, add 2 teaspoons of butter, remaining vegetables, and 1 can of butter beans (if using).

10

If the liquid is reducing, add a little more water (about half a cup) and stir.

11

Add a pinch of salt and an additional tablespoon of ketchup, and optionally a bit of sugar to balance the flavors.

12

Cover and let it cook for another 15 minutes until ready.
