Once boiling, remove from heat and let it sit covered for about 15 minutes until the bulgur absorbs the water.

Slice 2 large onions thinly.

Add the sliced onions to the pan and sauté until they are golden brown and caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

In a large bowl, combine the cooked lentils and bulgur.

Add the sautéed onions, 1 teaspoon of cumin, salt, and pepper to the bowl and mix well.
