Today, Kabalagala has gained popularity beyond Uganda, with variations appearing in other East African countries and among diaspora communities.

Add cassava flour to the bananas and mix them together while mashing.

Roll out the dough and cut into circular shapes using a plastic tumbler or cookie cutter.
Heat oil in a pan over low heat until warm.
Drop the pancake shapes into the oil and flip them when they start to float to the top.
Cook until golden brown on both sides.
