1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup cooking oil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
zest of 1 lemon

Pour 2 cups of all purpose flour into a bowl.

Add 1/2 cup of butter or margarine.

Add 1/2 cup of sugar to taste.

Add 1/4 cup of cooking oil.

Add a little bit of salt, about 1/4 teaspoon.

Add 1 tablespoon of baking powder.

Mix all the ingredients together until evenly combined.

Gradually add lukewarm water until the dough is medium consistency, not too watery or hard.

Knead the dough until it is not sticking anymore and form it into a ball.

Let the dough rest for 25 to 30 minutes.

Roll out the dough to a moderate thickness, not too thick or too thin.

Cut the dough into desired shapes and sizes.

Heat oil in a frying pan, but do not let it get too hot.

Add the dough pieces to the oil before it gets too hot to avoid burning on the outside.
