Remove the leaves from the stems of the terere carefully, checking for small insects.

Wash the terere leaves thoroughly to ensure they are clean.

Chop the terere leaves into medium-sized pieces.

Chop 2 medium-sized onions and dice them into small pieces.

In a large pot, add 2-3 tablespoons of cooking oil and heat it up.

Add the chopped onions to the pot and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Chop 2 tomatoes while the onions are cooking and check on the onions to prevent burning.

Add 2 seasoning cubes to the onions and stir well (optional).

Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot and stir to combine with the onions.

Add half a teaspoon of salt to the tomatoes and let them cook.

Once the tomatoes are ready, add the chopped terere leaves and cook for 3-4 minutes while stirring occasionally.

After 3-4 minutes, add 3/4 cup of milk to the pot and stir it in.

Let the mixture cook for an additional 30 seconds before serving.
