2 medium tomatoes

Remove leaves from the terere stocks and wash several times until clean.

Chop the terere leaves finely using a sharp knife on a chopping board.

Transfer chopped terere into a kitchen strainer.

Chop 2 medium onions into strips and then finely dice them.

Cook onions over medium high flame with 1 tablespoon of cooking oil for 30 seconds to 1 minute.

Chop 2 medium tomatoes, removing the top part before chopping.

Add the onions to the pot and sauté until golden brown.

Add the chopped tomatoes to the pot and stir, cooking for around 1 minute over medium low flame.

Add in 2 seasoning cubes and stir everything together.

If needed, add a splash of water to help cook the tomatoes.

Once the tomatoes are ready, add the chopped terere into the pot and stir everything together.

Let the mixture cook for around 3 to 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add in 1/3 cup of milk and stir for an additional 30 seconds before serving.
