easy
4 servings
Servings4
3/4 cup plain bread crumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 teaspoon ground thyme
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/8 teaspoon paprika
3/4 cup nonfat or 1% milk
2 lbs fillets of fish (tilapia or other white fish)
1 teaspoon vegetable oil
1

Wash your hands with soap for at least 20 seconds or use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer before you start cooking.

2

Preheat your oven to 500°F.

3

In a small bowl, mix together the breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, thyme, onion powder, and paprika until well combined.

4

Transfer the breadcrumb mixture to a shallow dish or a flat plate.

5

Pour the milk onto another plate, ensuring not to use too much to avoid spills.

6

Using your dominant hand, dip a piece of fish into the milk, ensuring it is thoroughly coated.

7

Transfer the milk-coated fish to the breadcrumb mixture, pressing down to coat it evenly on both sides.

8

Place the coated fish in a baking dish that has been lightly coated with about a teaspoon of vegetable oil.

9

Repeat the coating process with the remaining fish, ensuring each piece is well coated with breadcrumbs.

10

Discard any leftover breadcrumbs and milk after coating the fish.
