2 pounds ground deer meat (or 1 pound ground deer meat and 1 pound ground beef)
1 large yellow onion, chopped
1 tbsp minced garlic
2 cans stewed tomatoes
1 can tomato juice
1 can beef broth
4 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tbsp ground oregano
1 tbsp salt
1 jalapeno, seeded and chopped (optional)

Add chopped onions, minced garlic, and half of the salt. Cook down for a minute or two and then add the deer meat.

Fry the deer meat until completely cooked.

Add the stewed tomatoes, half of the beef broth, and half of the tomato juice. Mix and stir the mixture.

Add the chili powder, cumin, oregano, and remaining salt and mix well.

Add additional beef broth and tomato juice as needed. Be careful not to get it too juicy.

Bring to a rolling boil and reduce the temperature. Let simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
